Our DNA
RE Landscape was founded by Ivan Rodrigues de Miranda and Daan Mittelmeijer. A duo with a passion for outdoor spaces and a better future. They established RE Landscape while still studying. Since 2023, Daan has left to focus more on his Master’s in Landscape Architecture, and Ivan has continued to develop RE Landscape further.
Since 2024, RE Landscape has been fully focused on designing and renovating golf courses — with a fresh perspective on sustainability, enjoyment of the game, and social impact. We combine smart course design with thoughtful landscape management, ensuring golf courses are not only beautiful and challenging but also ready for the future.
We like to think along from start to finish, provide advice on construction, and guide the entire process. This is how we help clubs elevate their golf facilities to a higher level.
RE Landscape believes that the future of golf lies in greater accessibility. If we want to attract younger players and counter the aging trend within the sport, courses must be inviting — with smart routing, flexible loops, faster game formats, and a design that appeals. All this without compromising on strategy or appearance.
Our goal? To create golf courses that are in balance: challenging to play, good for nature, and efficient to maintain. Whether it’s a completely new design or refreshing existing holes — we create courses where golfers love to return and where new target groups feel welcome.
Meet the RE Landscape Team
From a young age, I was already involved with nature. With a father who is a (former) biology teacher and golfer, I was immersed in this from an early age. I’ve always been a dreamer. Something in which I could fully unleash my creativity. By combining these two, I have managed to develop myself into a landscape designer. With a preliminary study as an applied biologist, I gained knowledge in the world of flora and fauna, after which I was able to combine this knowledge with a sense of design.
Besides my great passion for nature, I have always been active in local sports clubs. First hockey, later golf. Some time ago, I was walking on the local course and was fantasizing about what goes on in the mind of a golf course architect. So I started searching and quickly discovered that this was really meant for me. By quickly expanding my network and having conversations with several established golf course architects, I soon came to the conclusion that this is what I wanted; to become a golf course architect.
